The Brief
Our client wanted a complete makeover. She had a filled-in pond, a few beds, and a lot of concrete. The areas didn’t match, and the space lacked flow. So, we aimed to create a design with quality materials, various textures and colors, and stunning focal points.
The Outcome
This project is one of our personal favorites. We used a range of high-quality materials, including Versuro bull-nosed steps and pavers, clay brick cobbles, sandstone, buff reconstituted walling, cedar, corten steel, and self-binding gravel. Additionally, we made sure the design connected the back garden and driveway, reflecting key features of both areas.
Links Between Front and Back
To create a seamless connection between the front and back, we:
- Added a raised sleeper bed
- Installed a cedar slatted fence
- Included corten steel features
- Used circles in the hard landscaping
- Applied the same skinny red clay bricks
- Used hoggin to soften the formal feel
Finally, our favorite detail is the inlaid brick patio sections.
